What Causes Burning Sensation In Nose And Throat?

I ve got a burning sensation in the left side of my nose and a very sore throat. I had some sinus problems a week ago, and had to take amoxicillin, but I doubt this is the problem as my sinuses are fine now. I ve got exams tomorrow, and PE outdoors in the cold, so I don t know what s wrong with me or what to do. It started hurting this morning and has elevated to an unbearable sensation, and a woeful headache.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The abnormal sensation in your nose, sore throat and headache may indicate that you have ongoing sinus infection.

Sinus congestion can cause these symptoms.

The use of a topical steroid nasal spray may help eg nasonex, nasocort, flonase

In addition a decongestant may also help , topical or oral are available.

Pain killers such as ibuprofen or naproxen would help with the throat pain.

I hope this helps
