What Causes Burning Pain In The Vagina During Intercourse?
Hi, My girlfriend and I have never had sexual intercourse. However, during foreplay she gets super excited and when she is about to reach climax she experiences a burning/paining sensation in her vagina which causes us to stop the act immediately. Any suggestions why this happens?
Hello dear Understand your concern Following are the cause of burning pain in the vagina during intercourse: 1. Vaginal infections: bacterial (chlymadia) and fungal infections. Some time chlymadia may be asymptomatic. It should be diagnosed by swab test and should be treated by antibiotic 2. Urinary tract infection/urethritis: can cause burning pain. Should be diagnosed by urine microscopic, routine and culture. Treatment is septran plus nitrozolium. Drink plenty of water and take cranberry juice 3. Lack of lubrication: Use condoms and jelly / water based lubricationduring intercourse to prevent friction injury. Spend more time in foreplay before sexual intercourse. 4. Truma: rough sex can cause mechanical trauma and cause pain in vagina and pelvic region. Take care while fingering and during intercourse. Maintain hygiene after sex. (urination and clean the area after sex)
Meanwhile take tablet ibuprufen three times a day for pain. Wash vagina with warm salted water. Avoid sex till pain goes away. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
