What Causes Burning In Tongue And Swollen Lymph Nodes After Drinking Alcohol?

Hello, after a few nights of heavy drug and alcohol abuse I found myself left with some unusual after-effects.
My tonguetip is burning, sore and smooth. My lymph nodes are swollen, and I am producing way too much saliva - almost drooling.
What could it be?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi, we understand your concern.

Alcohol and drug abuse is not good for health. It can lead to several problems like infection, liver disorder , neurologic psychiatric problems. If you were my patient I would have suggested you to stop them completely.

Increased salivation could be due to opiod withdrawal. If you had used opiod containing drugs like cocaine or heroin, would explain the symptom. It will last at least one week. You might even experience increased tears, nasal secretion etc.
I would need more information about drugs used by you, to give more information. Alcohol unlikely to cause drooling.

Hope the answer has helped you.
