Hi, My dad is a heart patient, he had endoplasty 6 years ago, since 2 monthst he has been feeling burning in chest, so he went to see heart spacilost, who did dtress ecg and said during the ecg he had 2 cardiac pain within 4 mins so and said he would need to go for bypass surgery. So yesterday he has his engograph test and then the doc said he doent have any blockage. He doesn t need surgery, so my dad is confusd if thsre is no blockage then why he had 2 cardIac pain during stress ecg and why he is still feelinbg burning in his chest.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
If his angiography is normal means no blockage, no need to worry much.
Angiography is the gold standard to see for Coronary blockage.
Since his angiography is normal, no need for bypass surgery.
Chest pain while stress test is mostly due to musculoskeletal pain.
Burning central chest pain might be due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause symptoms of central burning chest pain.
So ask him to avoid stress and tension. Avoid hot and spicy food. Take pantoprazole tablet on empty stomach.
Don't worry, he will be alright.. No need to worry for Coronary blockage and bypass surgery.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.
