What Causes Burning And Itching In Vagina And Painful Intercourse?

Hello..my age is 33,, married without a child. I have a vaginal itching and burning since 5-6 yrs.. Got treated but recurrs again. Took taxim iv too.. All types of medications.. Including zovirax.. Fluconazole.. Metronidazole.. Used all creams as onabet.. Betnovet... Sulfaz sn...etc. Still have a severe burning and pain and itching during intercourse.. Plz suggest..

Thanks for your query.
Note that you are 33, married without a child. You have a vaginal itching and burning since 5-6 yrs. Got treated but recurs. Took taxim iv too.. All types of medications.. Including zovirax, Fluconazole, Metronidazole. Used all creams as onabet, Betnovet, Sulfaz sn etc. Still have a severe burning and pain and itching during intercourse. Wants suggestions.

This is called dyspareunia that is painful intercourse and can occur due to multiple reasons for which an internal examination by a Gynecologist is very important.

I would advise you the following:
Internal per-vaginal examination by a Gynecologist and ultrasonography by the same route may help to know the problems.
Tests of blood, urine and stool to see if you have any immunocompromised state like diabetes or HIV.
Most important part is the status of your husband, whether he is suffering from any STD, diabetes or balanoposthitis.
Simultaneous treatment of you both .
Use of condom till you get alright.
Stop using any local preparations as these may cause a problem in a long term.
