What Causes Bumps On Tongue And Back Of Throat After Tonsillectomy?

Hi, I had my tonsillectomy done 10 days before, but Know I am having bumps over my tongue first started appearing on back side of tongue and make it painfull to swallow. I have no white covering over tongue but feels back side of throat also paining upon swallowing. I am taking enough liquid intake all the time and normal food. Sometimes I need to take pain killers to keep enough intake of food and fluids. Scabs are gone almost by 95% at surgery site. Still, I feel every morning very painful and need to take pain killer first. I am getting fine sleep. But from last three days tongue and back middle portion of thought gives pain to swallow, sometimes non resistible. I am using candid mouth paint from today.

Hello. Thanks for your post on Healthcare magic.As per your your complain it seems that u have developed stress ulcers also called apthous ulcers which are sometimes a bit larger in size.Need not to worry.This condition usually happens when you are stressed or immunity of your body weakens down sometimes.The condition usually resolves itself in5-7 days.Topical application of mucopain gel or kenalog will be helpful.apply it twice or thrice a day.Vitamin B suppliments or any multivitamin are found to be effective in this condition.Becosules or zincovit once in a day should be taken.Along with this pantoprazole 40 mg will be effective.For pain, if more take paracetamol 500mg tablet. Avoid eating spicy.Hope it will help.If condition does not resolves by this you should consult your oral physician. take care.
