What Causes Bumps On Scalp?

Hi, I have pimple like bump on my scalp... i sometimes feel like i have lice...but we never find anything and i don t have nits... i do scratch a lot and sometimes i rub my fingers through my hair and feel the bumps and then rub my hair again with my fingers in the same area and the bump is gone. I keep swearing that I have bugs in my head. But to no avail I don t find any or any signs or proof. This poor gal is thinking she just might be loosing it. Have any idea what this could be?

Thanks for the query.
you might be having folliculitis.
Folliculitis is a bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis.
Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given.
Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
