What Causes Bumps On Groin Area?

I have small rash like scabby bumps on my left side groin area for months that produces a foul odor like athalets feet. There are just a 1/2 dozen bumps that are the size of a small pimple. It does not itch at all. It is not jock itch. I tried Lamasil gel for a week with no help. The only thing that gets rid of the odor is if I rub in a anti persperant on the area. I bathe every day and it still smells by the end of the day if I don t rub in anti persperant to the area. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due combined fungal and bacterial infection. Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area. Trim or shave the pubic hair. Using ointments with combination of antifungal like miconazole , anti bacterial like gentamycin and corticosteroid like beclamethasone will be helpful. Taking fluconazole tablet orally weekly once for 1 month will be helpful to stop recurrence.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
