What Causes Bumps On Chin?

Hi, I had some sort of bumps pimple thing on my chin. I played around with it and tried to pop it (bad idea) but no blood came out. Only some liquid. I eventually tried to soak it with salt water because I read on the internet that it would decrease the size but it left a red mark stinging mark. Eventually the mark turned brown but it was in my skin. I applied vitamin E oil, neosporin and aloe vera gel and it seems to get better, but its really nasty looking. Today most of it came off leaving bright red skin and it stings a little when you touch it. What do I do?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Folliculitis is a bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis.
Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given.
Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
