What Causes Bump On The Healed Cut Wound Place?

I cut my right index finger near the middle knuckle on a restaurant size metal tea maker. It was pretty deep , almost felt it went to the bone. I did everything right to heal it, but I had to work while healing. It has been about 2-3 weeks. It s healed pretty good but there is bump that hurts when I bend or touch the area. What could the be and will it go away if I keep it safe?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Cysts can sometimes develop at sites of trauma so it is possible that this is the reason for the swelling and pain.

You can try using an anti inflammatory pain killer to see if this helps eg naproxen or ibuprofen.
Applying a warm compress to the area may also help.

If there is no improvement then you may need to see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
