Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the bathroom and as I was washing my Hans I noticed a weird bump on my face it doesn't really look like a pimple it just looks like a bug bite but i've been inside for the whole day. I don't know what it is or where it came from so I don't know how to treat it
As per your query a bump on the face that looks like a bug bite can be probably be a bug bite and even if you are inside, small bugs and insects are always present in the house and surroundings and you can get accidentally stung by any of them and get an allergic reaction from its sting and cause a painful or itchy bump.. Nothing to worry about it, you can apply an antibiotic ointment over it and take anti-allergic medication like Levocetrizine.. It will resolve in 2 to 3 days and in case if it does not resolve or become painful and starts looking like a pimple then it can an acne bump and then you can consult a physician or a dermatologist and get evaluated and if it is a pimple benzoyl peroxide gel along with antimicrobial gel will be advised to you..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
