What Causes Bruised And Swollen Leg After An Injury?
My dad hit his leg really hard when he fell. At first he wasn t even bruised. But a week later there are lots of bruises on his leg, his leg is also swollen and hot to the touch. Should he go to the emergency room or is this the normal progression after falling?

Welcome to healkthcaremagic.com. I fear that he may have developed a clot in his leg after the trauma/injury. I would have him seen by a doctor so that at the very least an ultrasound of his leg is performed. I hope this answers your question. Good luck
