Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what seems to be a bruise on the center of my forehead directly in line with my nose, above my eyebrows. I have no pain, tenderness, and I have not rested my head anywhere nor have I hit myself. It doesn t bother, I m just curious as to what could be causing this. Thank you!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bruise on forehead . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like broken blood vessels due to an injury , hematomas , autoimmune diseases , infectious diseases , meningitis , certain medications NSAIDs or blood thinners , insect bites or vasculitis . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to affected site , take anti histamine twice a day , keep it dry and clean and prevent it fron sun exposure . If the condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , take sample for lab test and examine physically . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , may drain if there is hematoma or refer you to cardiologist the reasons will be blood thinners . Doctor may also order kidney and liver function test .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
