Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
First off, I m not sexually active.. a week or two ago I thought my period was starting bc I noticed brown discharge and assumed it was just old blood .. it stopped after like 3 days but never turned red as usual or had a regular flow.. and my period usually lasts a week. Now the same thing just happened and still no period. I m usually pretty regular so I m not understanding what s going on..
(5) Side effect of medication(6)excess physical activity.
(7) Polycystic ovarian syndrome. If your periods continue to be irregular then you may need to be assessed by your doctor to find the cause.
This would require a history of all symptoms, physical examination both general and pv. Investigations such as blood tests and imaging (ultrasound) may also be needed as well. The blood tests would mainly be hormonal blood tests.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
