What Causes Brown Discharge?
Hello, Im a bit worried. I was due for my period 3 days ago (im usually spot on with my days) and have only had a slight brown discharge so far, hardly noticeable and no cramping like I normally have. Im currently on the 28 day contraceptive pill, but I did miss one or two by accident. Im not sure if the brown discharge should be counted as a small period....

you are using contraceptive pills so there are very less chances of getting pregnant but there is always chance of failure if you have not maintained regularity. and periods can be delayed many other reasons like hormonal imbalance, stress , etc.
you need to go for pregnancy test after you miss your periods. there is no chances of pregnancy if the flow of blood during period is normal in amount and duration. if only spotting is present then also you need to go for evaluation.
