What Causes Brown Discharge During 26 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I am 26.5 weeks preganant with my 4th one and am experianceing brown discharge and some off and on cramping on the left side of my pelvis. Yesterday I had left leg pain and hip pain. I have a giagantic vericose vein on my left leg also. I was in the hospital a few weeks ago with contractions, and was given vistral and sent home. my 1st was 2 weeks early, 2nd 8.5 weeks early and my 3rd 4 weeks early. is this nothing?? or should I be concerned. The cramping is not comming at regular intervals it is very speratic. I have had only a few contractions in the last couple days 3-4 per day but the have been strong and make me feel like my cervix is in a clamp hold. hope thats descriptive enough.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Preterm cramping and spotting , with a history of preterm labour earlier, can be indicative of preterm labour. Other causes of spotting at this gestation are low lying placenta and retroplacental hematoma. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound and get appropriate treatment. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
