What Causes Brown And Red Colored Vomit After An Injury?
I recently landed on my neck while on a trampoline. This happened a out 4-5 hours ago. Over the past hour or so, I have had heartburn pretty badly. I have vomited up a brownish/red liquid as the heartburn has gotten worse. I also had what appeared to be a little bit of a black substance in it. When the accident occured, I felt fine. My neck still feels fine, but I have noticed a slight amount of a light headed feeling. Could this brown/red colored vomit be blood from something happening after landing on my neck?

Brown vomit is usually most often caused by having eaten brown food, but it can also be a sign of bile in the regurgitated stomach contents. Gastrointestinal bleeding can also appear brown in throw up. Rarely, a person might throw up brown material because of severe constipation or an intestinal blockage.
