What Causes Bright Spot In The Field Of Vision Along With Headache?

I have an eye problem. Every once in a while I can see a small bright spot in my sight like I looked at something bright, only in my right eye. Slowly the spot grows in my vision becoming a circle or half a circle with the edges of it glowing causing blurriness at the outline. It continues to expand until it is out of my field of vision. After that I can see fine. Sometimes I have a head ache after.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Looks like you have high pressure in your eyes. Its called Galucoma. In this disease the inside pressure of the eyeball increases and causes compression backwards on the optic nerve too. It causes pulsatile pains in eyeball and headaches afterwards. Also, it causes white halos.

It needs an ophthalmologist in office visit. He will evaluate your eyes completely and rule out the main cause. It will get better with medications. Resistant cases needs surgery sometimes.

Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
