What Causes Breathing Difficulty While On Thyroxin?

my grandmother is 80 years old and recently we came to know that she has hypo thyroid, and doctors have consulted her thyroxin medicine but whenever she takes this medicine some kind of breathing problems starts. And after that she could not breath properly. and whenever we are stopping this medicine her breathing problems also stops. please help me what should i do.

I am sorry to hear that your grandmother is having problems with hypothyroidism and taking thyroid replacement. Taking thyroid medication can cause shortness of breath as her body attempts to adjust to the higher metabolic rate. I might recommend you start with a lower dose and ever so gradually increase her dose.
