What Causes Breasts Tenderness And Delayed Period With History Of Tubal Ligation?
Hi! I had a tubal Ligation about 15 years ago. I m turning 40 in a few months and my period is 10 days late. My cycle has been pretty regular +/- a few days. I have experienced some minor cramping, tenderness of breasts but no spotting. Is it possible to be pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Chances of pregnancy when your tubes have been ligated is very very rare. Symptoms if cramps and breast tenderness what you are experiencing are also not completely associated with pregnancy. It is probable that you might be experiencing these symptoms due premenopausal status. But however, you can get the following things done to get a clear picture: 1. Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. 2. Serum beta-HCG, FSH, LH and Prolactin hormone levels. If these investigations indicates any abnormality, kindly consult Gynecologist for evaluation and management. It it is normal, relax and take symptomatic treatment. Hope the information provided is clear. All the best and wish you good health.
