What Causes Breaking Of Tooth In A Lupus Suffering Person?

I have lupus which has never gone into remission. I have in the last 3 months had one molar break clean off while eating tuna fish and just a few minutes ago, I had the same tooth on the other side chip of a rather large piece of enamel. I take multiple medications. I can only drink Gatorade because my kidneys get upset otherwise and I also can not maintain my own electrolyte level. I drink the least "sugary" of the Gatorades.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain breaking of tooth does not seems to be related to Lupus as the condition is not generalized and is confined to only two teeth..

The chipping or breaking of teeth in your case seems to be due to decay in teeth ..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get a proper evaluation done along with x rays of the teeth to rule out the exact condition of the teeth..

Treatment like filling, root canal treatment , capping etc can be advised depending upon condition of teeth..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
