Hii , Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here
it seems that your father has been diagnosed with tuberculous arthritis of the inter vertebral joints also called Pott disease (TB of Spine )
Spinal TB is managed by rest and decreased weight bearing on the diseased vertebrae by application of an immobilizing bandage, and by promoting the natural processes of healing so it will take some time to heal and pain will go spontaneously with time and treatment
it also depends upon the extent of the damage caused by TB to spinal tissues as if ur father has no Neurologic deficit, medical therapy is the treatment of choice but if he has neurologic complications combination of medical and surgical treatments may required ,your Doctor will look into it
akurit4 is right choice of drug and it needs for two months followed by combination of medicines rifampicin and isoniazid for a total period of 6, 9, 12 or 18 months
i would advise you to keep the treatment continue and openly discuss any doubt with ur consulting Doctor
I hope it help Thanks & Get well Soon
