What Causes Blurry Vision?

I have had vision problems for a few months. My optometrist said it may be a thyroid issue because he has checked everything else. I had a blood test and the simple Thyroid panel came back normal, yet my vision issues still exist. Very blurry vision at times, a few seconds it s hard to even focus. What could be causing this?

Hello there,

To answer your question firstly i would like to know your age and occupation. are you using spectacles.

Blurring of vision could be due to refractive error(EYE POWER).To confirm this you need to get your vision and refraction test done first. If this turns out to be normal then we can consider other possibilities.

If your vison is within normal limits without the need for glasses checking for your convergence and accomodation would be suggested.
Once this is done and is within normal limits tear film assesment to rule out dry eyes would be next step.
Depending on the results we can proceed further. Hope this was helpful. Do get back with your results to help you improve the current situation

Thankyou
