What Causes Blurred Vision?

hi - this morning, I had some blurriness in my vision...but not across all my vision. some things in my vision were not blurred; some were. I noticed that the very left side of my vision (both eyes) were wavy - like being underwater? this started about two hours ago and lasted 15-20 minutes. I have no pain or other symptoms and no history of eye issues. things are ok now

Hi,

Blurred vision can be caused by many causes depending on age and co morbid issues like diabetes, hypertension. As you have mentioned none, it is difficult to surmise the cause. Defects involving one half of each visual field are generally due to cortical (Brain) defects like ischemic insults leading to hemianopia. I would recommend you to consult a neurologist for proper evaluation. You would then be referred to an ophthalmologist if neurological involvement is not there. All the best.
