Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 33 yr old male.Height 5'10''...Weight -72kg .I have a chronic history of blood in stool almost five times a year for last 15 years.I often suffer from constipation and also sometimes suffer from gas problems.
My stool analysis shows Pus cells 0-1 /hpf ;Vegetable Cells: Present (+);Color : Yellowish ;Mucus : Present ;Reaction: Acidic ;Fat:Few; Starch:Few . My serum total protein is 8.4g/dl Serum albumin is 5.0 g/dl & Globulin is 3.4 g/dl............................What does it indicate.? I have recently undergone investigations for colitis(endoscopy, colonoscopy etc).....results are awaited.
Well come to HCM Thank for asking I really appreciate your concern, I could say from the history given here that it is the constipation that might be causing the blood stain stool and it may not be due to any disease, chances of forming the fissures are likely due to constipation, still I would advise you to get done the routine test. You can try fiber containing diet, dink more water, keep regular habit of going for defecation, if it is the fissures then it has to be corrected with the surgery, if you have gone through colonoscopy then wait for result, and hope for good hope this information helps.
