What Causes Blood Pressure To Be Fluctuating?

My heart blood pressure is flactuating....sometime its higher than normal 180/---and sometime it also becames lower that 90/---.Sometime my diastolic have reached ---/108. My pulse have been lower than 60 most of the time. I had a head injury a month ago....i had a wound on my temporal side, beside my left eye. It bleeded profously during my fall...i dont know what happened during the slipped but i may have hit my head on our metal gate on my fall. I didnt pass-out but i dont have any recollection of the actual incident of my fall and it was my wife who saw me bleeding after she went out of the car and saw me. I am 38 filipino male and the above readings were detected after my fall.

HI,welcome to HCM,
The cause of wide fluctuations in both heart rate and blood pressure in your case is the head injury which you had a month ago.Head injuries are associated with increased intracranial pressure/tension-ICP/ICT, due pooling of blood within the brain parenchyma. This raised ICT can cause reduced blood supply to brain leading to the operation of so called Cushing's reflex as a compensatory mechanism. This reflex will cause elevated blood pressure and a decreased pulse rate. These changes take sometime to restore to normalcy. The main treatment would be managing the head injury with removal of pooled blood through burr hole surgery, consider a non contrast CT scan to determine further management.Drugs like Mannitol can lower raised ICT.Consult a neurosurgeon for further management,
Thank you,
Take care
