What Causes Blood In Urine?

Am passing blood in my urine. Three days ago I had Atrial Fibrillation, and had all sorts of tests, and my Cardiologist put me on new medication, 80mg Sotalol, and 20mg Xarelto, yesterday I noticed blood in my urine, and is still there today, I,m not sure if there is any connection here, should I seek medical advice straight away.

Thanks for putting your query over here.
The cause of blood in urine may be due to the drug xarelto as it is anti coagulation i.e. a blood thinner.
But you need not stop the drug by yourself as it may worsen your condition or cause some serious problems.you need to revisit your consulting doctor and tell about complaint you have.He/she will assess your risk ,if required by some blood tests, may make you stop the drug and give you some alternative drug.
Thanks and regards.
