hi, thanks for post, well there is an illness that join throat infection and renal issues, probably you are suffering Acute proliferative glomerulonephritis, or called too poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis, this has an autoimmune basis, the body recognizes stretococcus and creates antibodies, but there are in kidneys some parts that seems like strep and that antibodies attack it producing symptoms like swell in lower limb, blood in urine, and could be back pain, problem is that it s not enough to kill infection because is the immune system the causant of illness so there are other added treatment like steroids. So i said probably because there are some illness that can causes bleeding in urine too, but based in your symptoms must have to discard it with urine and serological tests.
