What Causes Blood In Urine After A Prostate Laser Surgery?

Hi, My PSA in 2015 was 4.25. At that time I went thru a laser procedure that removed enough tissue so I can urinate easily. At that time the doctor took many samples in different areas before doing any surgery even that my PSA level was 4.00. After two years, I am fine now and my PSA now is at 3.75. Today the same surgeon felt that one area of my prostate is firm and suggesting in doing a biopsy. He just moved a few weeks ago to a new office. I am hesitant in doing an unnecessary biopsy since every reading that I have blood and urine tests show major improvements. Am I being short sighted?

Hello Dear. One suggestion i would like to give you is always keep faith on your doctor. Your doctor will always try to do the best for his patients. We keep our faith on so many people- teachers, our driver, pilot, storekeeper etc. Why not doctors? Kindly follow the advice and do as your doctor suggests you.

PSA levels of 4 and below is normal. May be since your doctor has found some area of prostate firm in consistency he wants to rule out prostatic carcinoma.

So why to take risk and be negligent about health? Early detection has best cure rates. So go with your doctor.
