What Causes Blood In The Nostril When Blowing The Nose?

Hi! For past 3-4 days, there is blood from my left nostril, when I blow my nose. Wondering what the reason could be. I have recently stopped my BP medicine (on recommendation from doctor), and my BP currently is not very high (140/100). I am a heart patient, 40/m and had angioplasty 4 years back.

hello

well , there can be many reasons for the bleeding including a high blood pressure, some blood thinning drugs which you may be on , or a sinus infection. i will need to examine you before i can determine the cause. please meet your doctor for examination and advice.
for the meantime you can put oxymetazoline nasal drops , when there is bloody discharge as this will reduce the bleeding.

Thanks
