Since you have blood- red and maroon colored sometimes in stool along with low backache it may mean the following: There may be colitis or cancer, polyp or so hence you need an evaluation, colonoscopy and a CT scan of abdomen and pelvis to know the exact diagnosis so that a proper management can be planned accordingly. All the things should be considered together to get a comprehensive diagnosis and management.
