What Causes Blood In Stool?

I am 15 and sometimes theres blood on my toilet paper or even in the toilet after going number 2 and it sometimes causes discomfort. There is also a small bump that seems to be the source of this. Recently i started to find large light pink stains in my underwear after exercising. I havn t told anyone about this just because its embarrassing but im scared that I might have to now. Any ideas on how to stop this?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
The problem you have is mostly due to-
-Anal fissure / bleeding piles. The bump you refer to seems an infected fissure.
- The cause for such symptom is mostly constipation. To control constipation& manage fissure/external pile forms the . guideline for managing it.
- Before doing anything I would advise you to consult an Ano rectal surgeon- get your self locally examined for a conformed diagnosis followed by specific treatment.
- Self care consists of-
- high fiber diet with plenty of water/liquid diet.
- A big glass of lukewarm water on empty stmoch in morning.
- Sitz's bath( Sitting in mildly hot water tub) twice a day in case of anal fissure/ external pile.
- Treatment for worm/ amoebic/bacterial infection of bowels.Regular medication as advised by doctor.
- Exercises to improve digestion/relieve constipation.
Hope, you find this helpful.
Thanks.
