What Causes Blood In Stool Post A Cholecystectomy?

I m 7 weeks post op from a gallbladder removal. I ve noticed some blood in my stools lately. I m taking 2 stool softeners a day because of hard and painful stools. Should I contact my surgeon or could it just be internal hemorrhoids? I also had a baby 3 weeks before my gallbladder removal.

blood in the stools are generally due to hard stools. There may be fissures or internal haemorroids. Eat plenty of fibrous food , milk and hot water which will assist in stool softening.
