What Causes Blood Filled Lump Under The Armpit?

I have a lump under my left armpit. I first got it about a year ago, but then it went away within about two months. Then, several months later, it came back and was even bigger. It took up most of my armpit and was red and very painful. It has now started leaking milky white fluid, a bit like pus I think, and it occasionally has blood in it. What could it be and what should I do?

Hello dear user!
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns!
Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic.
Swollen red and painful lump in the armpit, in most of the cases indicates an infection of the sweat glands. Having milky fluid, puss and blood leaking also suggests this condition. I think you had better go to the hospital and see a surgeon, because you may need an incision of that lump to evacuate the puss and maybe a biopsy to confirm the right diagnose and rule out other pathologies. You will be prescribed a cure with antibiotics to heal the infection, but first, a consultation with the surgeon would be necessary.
