What Causes Blood Clots In Urine After Ureteroscopy?

I had a procedure yesterday at the urologist office removing a ureter stent and a catheter that I had put in during another procedure to remove a kidney stone. He said that there would be blood in my urine, but it should clear up the next day, which is today. There is a lot of blood and large clots everytime I urinate. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
During this procedure there is always a irritation and tear in bladder and urethral mucosa so clots are expected after it and may last for even up to 1 week postoperative. You should just drink plenty of fluids, take raspberry tea and don't worry.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
