What Causes Blocked Nose And Severe Cough With Weakness?

Hello, my 9 month old has a blocked nose and a really bad cough. She has been taking her bottles and food fine throughout the day but her nappies havnt been as wet as usual. She has also been alot more sleepy today than normal. Before going to bed tonight she has refused to take her bottle. Will she be ok? and can teething play a part in this?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, welcome to HCM.
By what you quote it seems that your child has probably got cold.
Due to cold, the child has blocked nose and cough. There are chances that he could be having fever and thats why he is feeling tired.
In my opinion, you should give paracetamol syrup and cough syrup to child for 3 days. Normal saline drops should be given nasally to prevent blocked nose.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.
