Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If your symptoms started from the day of intake of the pill, they can be attributed to the hormone content in the pill and the consequent disturbed hormone balance. The spotting also is due to the same reason. If your symptoms were present even before the pill intake and you have always had regular cycles, you need to exclude pregnancy. HPTs read well when performed 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample. If you are unable to clarify through HPT, please go for the blood test. Hope this helps.
