What Causes Bloating And Shortness Of Breath Post A Pacemaker Placement?

my friend had a pacemaker fitted just over a year ago and is awaiting a transplant, all has been well since, however yesterday he seemed bloated, out of breath and had a significant slur, he is in his early 40 s, he mentioned he had been for a check up and they had tweaked about with his pacemaker, he has never been over weight and always healthy. Concerned about this can you help/explain this turn of events please

There is very high recurrence rate for failure of pacemaker implant causing symptoms like shortness of breath and bloating.
It might be that implant fitted is not able to compensate the blood flow required by his body or due to failure of other valves in heart he is feeling decompensated.
It is a medical emergency and i advice you to see a cardiologist as soon as possible for proper checkup and investigations.
Best wishes
