Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I dropped a heavy stone on my big toe. I don t think it is broken as I have a small amount of movement in the joint - difficult because of the bruising and massive blister. I pierced the blister with a needle sterilised in an iodine solution to relieve the pressure. After three days it is still weeping . It is not painful - but uncomfortable. Should I keep it covered or leave it open to dry off? The blistered area is about 30 x 30mm across the top of the toe - just above the nail. It looks a horrible mess but there is no sign of hematoma under the nail and nothing above the first toe joint. It is swollen compared to my other foot.
