What Causes Blisters In Osteo-arthritic Patient?

I have diagnosed with osteo-arthritis and I get blisters on my finger joints, they start out itching and then become fluid filled, they hurt just mildly. Compared to larger joints. What causes the blisters? I told my dermatoglist this and he told me to come in the next time it happens. The only problem is, I can not get an appt. while they are flared up and til I would get to him they would have disappeared and then they come back aboout 4-5 times a year. I would like to know what causes them.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having osteoarthritis of both knees. You also has blisters on small joints of fingers.I think these are not related to osteoarthritis. You should consult dermatologist for these which you are already tried. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
