What Causes Bleeding In The Urine Inspite Of Taking Antiobiotics For UTI?

I was tested positive for a uti and have taken one of my prescribed antibiotic pills so far.. I feel so much worse as the day went on and not only is there more blood in my urine but the blood is coming out clotted. What can I do to help with my pain? When will the antibiotics start to make me feel better?

Hi UTI does not cause blood in urine . There may be some stone in urinary tract and you may be having renal colic. Antibiotics will make the pus cells go from urine and not blood. Get one ultrasound KUB done. If still this is not showing any calculus, then you need to visit a urologist at the earliest and see the cause of blood and pain. He may advise you cystoscopy ( to see inside bladder).Take lot of liquids. Thanks.
