What Causes Bleeding From Postpartum Stitches?

My son is 17 days old today. My elder son cried today in the mrng tht he want tht I shall help him in bathing but as soon as I was done with it I felt a little pain in my stitches n I started to bleed again!! Although I din picked up my 4 yr old elder son but does bending while helping him to bath can cause any problem?

Hi, I think the bleeding can be due to tearing of the stitches. So, you need to consult your doctor for pelvic examination. If stitches are torn too much, you may need fresh stitching.If test is small, it can be left as such. It will heal by itself. You can use ointment like metrogyl P for local appliaction.
