What Causes Bleeding During The 9th Week Of Pregnancy?

So I got pregnant after my DR didn't think I would bc my progesterone levels had been so low they didn't think I was ovulating. On the day I was going into get put on Clomid we discovered I was pregnant. My DR put me on Progesterone Suppositories just to be safe and I had two U/S done by the time I was 9 weeks preg and they showed a growing baby and a strong heartbeat. Then on June 23rd when I was 9wks 1day I started bleeding heavily so we went to the ER and had a U/S done there. Again we saw a healthy baby and heard the strong heart beat. The DR said he didn't know why I was bleeding but the baby looked just fine so they sent me home. An hour after we had the U/S and got home I passed the baby. So we had to go back to the ER. The DR was quite shocked. The following Wednesday June 29th I had a suction D&C and the bleeding finally stopped. Three days after I passed the baby my DR put me on Birth control to try and regulate my cycle. But only the one month supply. When I went back in to talk to my DR he said to not get pregnant for 3 cycles. He actually seemed like he would be mad if I got preg before the three cycles. But I have also read by alot of women online their DRs gave them the ok after 1 cycle. My question is, giving my situation is it better to wait the 3 cycles or would it be safe after 1 cycle? What are the success rates of getting pregnant soon after a D&C?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is advisable to conceive at least 3 months after last abortion, preferably after 6 months. This is so because in this time, the body will replenish its stores and get ready to bear a healthy pregnancy.
Moreover, if the abortion has occurred due to any chromosomal anomaly in fetus, then the chances of recurrence of such anomaly in the subsequent pregnancy decreases as the interval between the two pregnancies increases.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
