What Causes Bleeding And Itching At Sutured Site Post Sutures Removal?

Hi there,
About 1 month ago I had a cyst removed on the top of my head....everything was fine when the stiches were removed on March 5th, but now it's bleeding a bit when I touch it, sometimes it is itchy...do you think that it might be infected? Why is it bleeding now and now earlier after the stiches were out?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain bleeding and itching at the site of surgery after removal of stitches seems to be due to infection otherwise as by now there shall be considerable healing..
Although there can be mild tenderness present bit bleeding and itching are indicative of infection and you should consult your treating Surgeon and get evaluated..
He can advise you Oral antibiotics, cleaning the area with antiseptic solution and apply Antibiotic and Steroid ointment over it..
Keep the area Dry and clean..
Do not let moisture accumulate in the area..
