What Causes Black Vaginal Discharge?
I have been sick with the stomach flu for almost a week now and have seeked medical care twice.The second doctor recommend that I take an at home pregnancy test given I am active (we use the pill and a condom) I brushed his suggestion off as I was currently on my period and seriously doubted I was pregnant.Today I started having thick black sludge like discharge.Could this somehow be related to a pregnancy?

Hi! this kind of sludge-like material is generally formed by a mixture of cervical mucus, uterine endometrial tissue and some clotted blood! Sometimes the endometrium is thick due to pill-intake and therefore when the period comes it sheds off like a mask/membrane that might take some shape...
