What Causes Black Vaginal Discharge, Abdominal Pain And Cyst?

I ve gotten my period three times this month with a black tar like discharge. Abdominal pain is persistent and loss of appetite has occurred as well. Have had cysts removed in the past and recently informed of another present, not sure if my symptoms are related as the discharge and frequency of periods are new.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The discharge you are experiencing is similar to that from an endometriotic cyst. If you have a history of endometriosis, you should think of this as the possible cause of the pain and you should explore for further cyst formation. Else, hormone imbalance can create breakthrough bleed and irregular periods. Infections, stress, sudden weight disturbances and use of cretain medication are the other causes for irregular menstruation. You need further evaluation by an expert. Hope this helps.
