What Causes Black Stools With Abdominal Cramping And Heart Burn?

For at least a week I ve felt like I had a uti. I don t have a history of them so I started myself on azo cranberry. Since taking them as directed I ve noticed black stool with abdominal cramping and heartburn feel very weak and had to sit down on floor after bath this morning cause I had cold sweats and felt like I might pass out. I m 43 year female

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of being Female/43, felt like UTI hence started taking Azo Cranberry which gave black stools, cramping in abdomen and heartburn. Feeling so weak that had to sit down after bath due to cold sweats and felt that you might pass out.
This history indicates that you are most probably having severe gastritis or ulcer that is bleeding actively, hence the black stool.
Sudden blood loss with unstable hemodynamics might have caused the problems of cold sweats and feeling of passing out.
I would advise you the following:
Rush to ER as you may need emergency services and investigations.
Upper GI Endoscopy to stop bleeding if present.
CBC to decide the hemoglobin packed cell volume and blood transfusion if required.
Ultrasonography and other relevant investigations as per the clinical evaluation.
