What Causes Black Loose Stools?

Over a week ago I stopped taking some antibiotics called Clindamycin 300mg a day. I had a bad reaction, I had tightness of the chest and my Adams apple felt massive. My GP told me to take anti histamines to stop this. I felt a lot better, on Thursday my neighbor gave me a glass of wine I was sick. The next day which was last Friday I have been having loose stools that are black with jelly in. The sickness has been very bad. But I have not been sick. What could this be please. I am 45 yrs old. And normally I never drink, just not interested in alcohol.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This is in relation with alcohol induced gastric irritation effect with possible bleed from pre-existing gastric ulcer or erosion due to consumption of clindamycin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
