These past 2 days i ve seen my stool with black oily liquid spots floating in the water alongside it; looks kind of greasy and it doesn t get mixed with the water. I started a 3 day juice cleanse and yesterday was my last day. But today those spots appeared again. What are those?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do understand your concern.
black color stool in most of the cases caused due to upper gastro-intestinal bleeding.
as you have not mentioned your age or under any medication etc.
I would suggest, to consult a general surgeon, and to do work up for upper GI bleed and to get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
