What Causes Behavioural Changes After Taking Chantix?

good morning sir. reciently my wife began taking chantix to stop smoking, and she has. both of us have noticed a rather dramatic change in her. she is quite a bit calmer and more pleasurable to be around. normaly she is quite easily aggrivated and over reactive to just about anything .ie;" IT'S ONLY A DAMP TOWEL ON THE BED,IT'S NOT A MUGGING". I am not complaining but,I'm wondering if she has had a anxietd or depression issues for a long time and the chantex just made it more noticable as a result.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. I sincerely think the behavioral change is not the chantix effect. It should be the satisfaction level the chantix provides her. Mental satisfaction that overwhelms when the urge to smoke stops due to chantix or some other reasons. Initially it is normal. But make sure that she sustains the behavior. Even cessation of smoking.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
